Bad vaccine, catches with IoT technology... Attention as a monitoring solution

Earlier this year, China, which suffered the largest rogue vaccine distribution in history, announced an amendment banning the sale of vaccines to drug wholesalers.

Vaccines basically contain protein components extracted from eggs, so if they are not stored at a low temperature between 2 and 8 degrees, denaturation occurs. It was found that the circulating defective vaccines amounted to 20 billion won.

The United States is also actively involved in vaccine temperature control in the country. As a result, Most US medical facilities are focusing on vaccine temperature management through automatic temperature management systems and monitoring. According to the statistical data published in Medical Lab Management magazine, a magazine in the field of clinical research in the United States, it is known that more than half of hospital laboratories are managed through automatic temperature monitoring.

In the case of Korea, after the MERS outbreak, the JCI certification, which is an international certification used abroad, is attracting attention. For 5 days, due diligence is conducted in 16 categories, 298 standards, and 1225 items, and items for temperature monitoring and alarm are also included, so that the hospital's credibility can be secured when certification is obtained.

However, it is not easy for Most hospitals with insufficient manpower to monitor temperature in real time and systematize it.

In this regard, Dekist Co., Ltd. is introducing a solution using Radionode products that incorporate the latest IoT technology. After measuring the real-time temperature with UA30, a USB-type temperature sensor, using the Internet network already installed in the hospital, SaaS (Soft as a Service) software is used through the RN171 model, which is an Ethernet data transmission window, or the RN172 model, which is a Wi-Fi data transmission device. That's the way data is stored in Tapaculo 365.

Based on the data received from the Radionode terminal, Tapaculo365 automatically creates a temperature record and provides a comparison graph. Data is transmitted in increments of at least one minute, and since it is Cloud Serivce-based, real-time monitoring is possible anytime, anywhere with a PC or smartphone.

In addition, it is equipped with an alarm and alarm system, which is essential for handling and storing vaccines.

An official from Wisemax, a specialized sales company, said, “We have already applied the Radionode vaccine solution using the RN171 model to many hospitals. It is an evaluation that has risen,” he said. In particular, he said, "In addition to vaccine refrigerators, Radionode temperature and humidity monitoring solutions are being used in various fields such as blood refrigerators, cafeteria refrigerators, and thermo-hygrostats for pharmaceutical companies."

Meanwhile, if you visit the '10rd Korea International Hospital Medical Industry Expo (K-HOSPITAL)' held at COEX hosted by the Korean Hospital Association from October 20 (Thu) to 22 (Sat), Wisemax's booth You can experience various products and solutions related to temperature and humidity monitoring of Radionode at the exhibition site, and you can also take orders through on-site discount events at the exhibition site. You can also check out the products at the 3rd International Medical Equipment-Hospital Equipment Show (KIMES 3) scheduled for March next year.
