DEKIST Co., Ltd. (CEO Woo Won-hee) launched 'Smart Curing Solution', a smart construction IoT solution using LTE. It is a solution that contributes to preventing defects and safety accidents at construction sites by estimating the initial curing strength of concrete and managing harmful gases by reflecting the voices of construction sites.

Insufficient concrete curing management is considered to be the main cause of building-related incidents, such as collapse of buildings under construction and leaks in apartments, which have occurred frequently due to the recent prolonged rainy season. Previously, construction workers had no choice but to set the curing period and remove the formwork only with accumulated experience as there were no separate regulations or standards.

In addition, existing sensors require a worker to visit the sensor-attached point to check data based on Bluetooth communication. As a result, real-time management was difficult, and there were voices from the field that there were limits to on-site safety management to the extent of checking only the temperature value.

Accordingly, Deckist responded to the voice of the field with a smart curing solution that can check whether the initial strength has been reached at the time of real-time integrated Cloud Serivce monitoring and curing based on LTE communication. Through this, slab/ceiling heat of hydration and air temperature data can be collected in real time through LTE communication and managed in the Cloud Serivce, and a notification is sent to the person in charge when the real-time strength data expressed in a graph is checked and the set initial strength is reached.

In particular, experts in architecture and artificial intelligence were put into the development of the AI strength estimation algorithm. It was produced based on the Nurse-Saul algorithm, the same as ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), and supports a total of three calculation algorithms by reflecting the calculation formula used in Europe. It is convenient to save and recall set values such as different water mixture ratios and design strengths according to concrete adjustment. The setting value can reflect the standard specimen information, so the AI estimated intensity value and the actual intensity are alMost identical.

If you use Deckist's smart curing solution, you can get two effects at the same time: cost reduction and poor construction prevention by removing formwork at the right curing time based on accurate data. In addition, it contributes to the prevention of suffocation accidents at construction sites in winter, which is closely related to concrete curing. In fact, at construction sites in winter, a certain temperature must be maintained to harden the poured concrete. At this time, lignite and charcoal are used to fill the stove for cost reasons. Due to this, if a large amount of carbon monoxide accumulates in the confined space, suffocation accidents may occur.

Deckist's solution provides a harmful gas monitoring function that measures the concentration of harmful gases in the field in real time and checks whether the air is appropriate through the Cloud Serivce or a smartphone. When gas exceeds the permissible range, an emergency alarm is sent to the person in charge, and multilingual notifications are provided so that workers on site can evacuate immediately.

Currently, Deckist's smart curing solution has been commercialized and is being introduced and used at construction sites constructed by Samsung C&T. Starting from next year, the Severe Accident Punishment Act will be applied to workplaces with less than 50 employees and local governments will strengthen environmental management and safety regulations in construction sites.

CEO Woo Won-hee said, “We are presenting a solution that combines the IoT sensor technology that DEKIST has accumulated over many years with AI prediction technology to ensure safety.” We plan to continuously develop IoT solutions.”
